78th ARAS Parade | Saturday June 14th, 2025

Ardrossan Recreation & Agricultural Society is hosting the 78th Ardrossan Parade -- all registrations for this year's event will be managed via our eventbrite page.

THEME:

In honor of Alberta Open Farm Days theme, "Water, the Lifeblood of Every Farm" -- we have selected "Water" as this year's parade theme. So, please help us embrace it with your own interpretation!

SCHEDULE:

  • 9:00 AM | Floats start checking in

  • 10:00 - 10:40 AM | Councilors Judge Floats

  • 10:30 AM (approx) | Roads Begin Closing

  • 10:40 - 11:00 AM | ARAS Volunteers Tally Scores

  • 11:00 AM | ARAS Volunteers hand out ribbons (as floats leave parking lot)

  • 12:15-12:30 PM (approx) | Floats can tear down in AJSH Parking Lot

GUIDELINES (discretion will be applied):

  • Firetruck/emergency vehicles at start of parade

  • Street sweeper at end of parade

  • Animal Entries will be placed ahead of the street sweeper (they will stage near the elementary)

  • Following check-in, volunteers will place entries into 3 rows in the parking lot (the order in which you are placed is not guaranteed)

  • Children must be supervised

  • Please help to maintain the pace (we recommend a maximum of 2 car lengths between floats/entries)

  • Utility vehicles/water haulers - Be aware that weight restriction on Main Street bridge, Point-Aux-Pins Creek bridge has been reduced to 10 tonnes

  • Candy is encouraged; however, it must be lobbed gently towards the audience

FEES:

  • Local Businesses, Companies, & Political / Government Entries = $100

  • Youth Non-Profits & Community Organizations = $0
