Become a Board Member

All levels of experience (even no experience) are welcome! All you need is to be an ARAS member and a passion to make a difference in your community! This is a great opportunity to contribute your skills and talents, as well as learn more about leadership and board governance. Indicate your interest in a board position on your Volunteer Inquiry form.

As of summer 2026, ARAS is seeking

  • Community Growing Patch (CGP) Volunteers

    • Responsibilities include weeding, watering & harvest

    • Commitment - flexible daily tasks spring through fall

  • Farmer's Market ARAS Booth Volunteers

    • Responsibilities include booth set up & take down, sell CGP produce, promote ARAS 

    • Commitment - Tuesdays 4-8pm, June 2 to Sep 29

  • Community Growing Patch Crop Captains

    • Responsibilities include oversight of specific crops at the CGP

    • Commitment - flexible tasks spring through fall

  • Lil Wigglers Lead

    • Attend Tuesdays 11am-1pm “baby & me” program in a hosting capacity

  • One Day Special Events 

    • Open Farm Days Aug 16, 2026 (various positions)

    • Parade June 20, 2026  (various positions)

  • Photographer for programs & special events

  • Upkeep of flower beds at Memorial Hall through the summer
