79TH ARAS PARADE

79th ARAS Parade | Saturday June 20th, 2026

Ardrossan Recreation & Agricultural Society is hosting the 79th Ardrossan Parade -- all registrations for this year's event will be managed via our eventbrite page.

THEME:

We are excited to announce our selected theme of Trains, Planes & Automobiles for this year's parade. So, please help us embrace it with your own interpretation!

SCHEDULE:

  • 8:45 AM | Floats start checking in

  • 10:30 AM (approx) | Roads Begin Closing

  • 11:00 AM (approx) | Floats start leave parking lot

  • 12:30 PM (approx) | Floats begin returning to parking lot

  • 12:30 PM - 1PM (approx) | Floats can tear down in AJSH Parking Lot

  • 1:00 PM (approx) | Roads Re-Open

TO REGISTER A PARADE FLOAT:

GUIDELINES (discretion will be applied):

  • Firetruck/emergency vehicles will be placed at the start of the parade.

  • Street sweeper will be placed at end of the parade.

  • Animal Entries will be placed ahead of the street sweeper (they will stage near the elementary); however, please make arrangements for clean up at the staging location.

  • Volunteers will place entries into 3 rows in the parking lot (the order in which you are placed is not guaranteed; please follow the direction of the organizers). DO NOT ENTER THE QUEUE UNTIL YOUR FLOAT HAS ARRIVED (YOU MAY STAGE IN THE SUBDIVISION UNTIL YOUR TOW VEHICLE & FLOAT HAS ARRIVED IF THEY ARE ARRIVING SEPARATELY).

  • Children must be supervised - please ensure adequate supervision is available.

  • You are responsible to maintain the pace (if there is a gap, please avoid demonstrations until the gap has been closed)

  • Candy is encouraged; however, it must be handed to individuals or lobbed in the general direction of the audience (do not throw candy directly at the crowd).

  • RCMP/Bylaw, Firefighters and ARAS Volunteers supervise the barricades and safety of parade participants, PLEASE FOLLOW THEIR INSTRUCTIONS.

FEES:

  • Local Businesses, Companies, & Political / Government Entries = $100

  • Non-Profits & Community Organizations = $0
